We are a nonprofit organization that work with vulnerable groups to improve their mental health well being and economic stability through mental health support groups and skills empowerment. We cover the following SDGs; 3, 4, 8 and 17 with specific focus on SDGs 3 and 4.
Vision
A world where young people aged 15-30 have access to timely mental health administration. (Empowered to become mentally and financially stable).
Mission
To accelerate access to mental health administration and skills development by empowering young people through mental health support groups, trainings, internships and skills empowerment.
A monthly safe space for young people to have several discussion about mental health concerns and utilize story telling and anonymous formats to reach the audience.
To raise awareness on mental health and global citizenship, empowering young people aged 15-21 with essential soft skills and connect them to experiential learning with partner organizations.
Outreach to Secondary Schools to Create Awareness on Mental Health and Global citizenship with target groups in SS2 and SS3 classes. This is also an opportunity to publicize IMH MAGs.
We are currently in Calabar, Enugu, and Jos which represents the South-South, South East and North Central geo-political zones of Nigeria.
The goal is to expand IMH to the remaining 3 zones in Nigeria; reaching directly (825 young people) 450 participants by 2026, and reducing the rate of depression due to financial instability whilst improving the low economic index of communities and increasing access to mental health support.
